Matthew Ahrens is a seasoned financial and real estate executive with a wealth of strategic, cycle-tested experience, and a deep understanding of the commercial real estate business. As a trusted advisor to real estate operating companies, institutional investors, and ultra-high-net-worth family offices across the United States, Matthew brings a comprehensive perspective to Dental Real Estate Syndicate.
As an Executive Vice President at Rising Realty Partners, Matthew supported real estate acquisitions totaling nearly 6 million square feet, with a total capitalized value of $1.7B. Prior, Matthew worked at Principal Real Estate Investors, the real estate investment subsidiary of Principal Financial Group, where he was involved in the securitization of over 200 commercial real estate loans, totaling more than $1B. Additionally, Matthew has provided investment credit analysis for a $7 billion portfolio of commercial mortgage-backed securities.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Iowa State University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. He is an active member of NAIOP and the Urban Land Institute.
